Eric E. Coonce, 56, of Brookfield, Twp., passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, August 18, 2025, in his home.

Eric was born on March 21, 1969, in Farrell, a son of the late Roy and Marion (Marstellar) Coonce. He was a graduate of Maplewood High School in Johnston, Ohio.

Eric was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Young Galvanizing, Inc., Pulaski, where he worked for more than 15 years.

Eric was a sports fanatic and was a fan of all three Pittsburgh sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by three sisters, Gail Gearhart and her husband, Todd, of Hudson, FL, Debbie Bernard and her husband, Howard, of Champion, OH, and Tami Barger and her husband, Calvin, of Burghill, OH; two brothers, Earl and Walter Coonce, both of Sharon; a brother-in-law, Donald Brager, of Billings, MT; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Brager and Diana (Randy) Gelesky; and a sister-in-law, Andrea Coonce.

A graveside service will be at noon on Friday, August 29, 2025, in Brookfield Twp. Cemetery.

Interment: Brookfield Twp., Cemetery.
