Emily Joan (Rombold) Yohman, 92, formerly of Transfer, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, in St. Paul's Senior Living Community, Greenville.

Mrs. Yohman was born August 14, 1928, in Hickory Twp., a daughter of the late John Paul and Emma Freda (Matzel) Rombold and was a graduate of Hickory High School.

She was born and raised in the Shenango Valley and raised her family with her husband in Wynwood Acres and Memphis, TN. Upon her husband's retirement, in 1994 they built a home in Transfer, where they lived until moving into St. Paul's in April 2020.

A dedicated homemaker, Emily took great pleasure in being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enthusiastically participated in supporting all of her family's academic, athletic and career achievements.

Her husband of 67 years, John Yohman, whom she married November 28, 1953, passed away January 4, 2021.

Prior to her marriage, she held several secretarial positions including at Cotton State Exhibition, Memphis, TN.

Emily was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon, where she volunteered for the "Red Door."

She was also a volunteer for the Shenango Valley Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Yohman, of Pittsburgh, and Susan (Yohman) Burks, of Crystal Lake, IL; a son, Robert Yohman, of Fredericksburg, VA; six grandchildren, Katie, Alec, Julie and Laura Yohman, Meghan Burks-Lenz and her husband Jake and Spencer Burks.

In addition to her parents and husband, Emily was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Rombold.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Staff Education Fund of St. Paul's Senior Living Community, at www.stpauls1867.org in honor of Emily and John.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
