Emily Rose Marks, Sharon, passed away of natural causes at
10:42 a.m.
Wednesday
(5-4-16) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 96.
Emily was born September 24, 1919 in Farrell one of seven children born to James and Carrie Colecchi Colangelo.
A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Sharon High School.
Along with her husband, she helped operate their family business for many years, which was the popular Marks Grocery Store on Roemer Blvd., Farrell.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima- St. Ann's Church where she was a member of the Alter Rosary Society and volunteered countless hours with the church cavatelli workers.
Emily enjoyed cooking and helping others her entire life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sadly missed by all.
Her husband Adam S. Marks whom she married October 25, 1941, passed away on December 22, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise A. Gorby and her husband Zinn, Chagrin Falls, Oh., Dennis T. Marks and his wife Patricia, Cortland, Oh., two sisters, Ann C. Tibolet, Sharon, Lillian C. Stigliano and her husband Frank, Hermitage, three grandchildren, Tricia Hitmar and her husband Michael, Kristin Gorby, and Emily Jett, four great grandchildren, Garret, Gavin, Madelyn, and Collin. He also is survived by; his sister in law, Jenny "Dolly" Marks, of Farrell, his two brothers in law, James "Champ" Marks, of Farrell, and Jerry Marks and his wife Delores, Masury.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Dominic L and Victor J. Colangelo, and her two sisters, Eleanor C. Cerra, and Flora L. Rocco.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, Pa., 16121

In keeping with her wishes there will be no calling hours.
Services:
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated

in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church Church, with the Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor as the celebrant.
Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
