Emily A. Gramsky, 62, formerly of Hermitage, passed away the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at her residence in New Castle.
Mrs. Gramsky was born on Aug. 18, 1954, in New Castle, a daughter of Joseph Jr. and Lois Ann Brown Cuhran.
She was raised in New Castle and attended Neshannock High School.
Although a homemaker, she previously worked for West Penn Financial Service Center Inc. in Sharon.
Emily was of the Methodist faith.
For several years, she volunteered at the Humane Society of Mercer County in Hermitage.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, particularly sewing and creating silk flower arrangements, and also collected Beanie Babies.
Her husband, Carl N. Gramsky, whom she married on July 16, 1971, passed away on Nov. 21, 2001.
Surviving are her daughter, Carly Ann Gramsky of New Castle; her father, Joseph Cuhran Jr. of New Castle; three sisters, Bonnie (John) Hildebrandt of Slippery Rock Township, and Kimberly (Robert) Branscome and Kathy (Darek) Senatore, all of New Castle; a brother Joseph (Debbie) Cuhran III of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews. Emily also leaves her beloved dogs, Joey and Charlie.
In addition to her husband, Emily was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Ann Cuhran. In keeping with her wishes, the calling hours and funeral service will be private.
Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
