Elva Grace Blake, John XXIII Home, Hermitage, formerly of Lackawannock Twp, passed away peacefully, Tuesday (8-11-15) at 6:30 pm, at John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 85. Mrs. Blake was born March 20, 1930 in West Middlesex the daughter of Arthur and Grace A. Minner Shiderly. She attended Hickory and West Middlesex Schools and graduated in 1947 from West Middlesex High School. Elva retired from the J. C. Penney Store where she worked in the stock room for over 10 years. Previously she worked at the Sharon Store, downtown Sharon. She was a member of Hickory United Methodist Church, Hermitage. Elva enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's activities. Her husband, Harry Clifford Blake, whom she married August 8, 1952, passed away July 26, 2012. She is survived by two daughters, Debra L. Mausser and her husband Gerald, Sharon; and Bonnie R. Tate and her husband David, Zephyrhills, FL; one brother, Clair Shiderly and his wife Freida, Pittsburgh; sister in law, Mary Anne Shiderly, Sharon; three grandchildren, Eric Mausser and his wife Jennifer; Emily Mausser; and Melissa Tate and her husband Aaron; four great grandchildren, Addison and Liliana Mausser and Aubree and Brooke Talbot; two step grandchildren, David Tate and his wife Jennifer and Eric Tate; and four step great grandchildren, Kenndy, Jackson, Colin and Cameron Tate. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Albert Shiderly.
