Elsie Louise Powell, of 52 S. Mercer Ave., Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning at her residence. She was 68.
Elsie was born in Sharon on November 14, 1941 the daughter of Frank and Teresa Rogers Podobnick.
A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Hickory High School.
Elsie retired from Panin Chiropractic in Hermitage where she had worked as an office assistant and therapist for several years.
She was a member of the Gentle Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, Hermitage A loving mother, grandmother, and niece, she was devoted to her family and found her greatest joy while spending time with her grandchildren who she loved her dearly.
She enjoyed volunteering for the Prince of Peace Center, Farrell, and teaching toddler Sunday school classes.
At one time she had been a member of the Red Hat Society.
Surviving are her daughter, Lisa C. Young and her husband Robert, Williamsfield, Ohio; her son Frank H. Powell and his wife Krista of Sharon; and her two grandchildren Sophia Rose Young, and Katelyn Marie Powell.
Elsie's was preceded in death by her father on January 20, 1990, and her mother on March 16, 1996.

Services: A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the Gentle Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 3480 Shenango Valley Freeway Hermitage with the Rev. Martin G. Gentzler, pastor officiating.
Internment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
