Eloise Ballard

Eloise Ballard, of West Middlesex, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, in Avalon Springs Care Center, Mercer.

Mrs. Ballard was born in Albion, PA, a daughter of the late Peter and Theresa Elegeer.

A homemaker, Eloise was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex.

She married her husband, Raymond Ballard, on November 26, 1949. He passed away on October 22, 2008. They were blessed with seven children and loved to travel together.

Eloise was a kind soul. She was extremely sympathetic to those in need. She also had a passion for gardening and canning. Above all, Eloise cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Kucik, Bonnie Abinosa (Lawrence), Connie Zipay (Bruce); four sons, Daniel Ballard, Robert Ballard, Gary Ballard (Eva), and Bruce Ballard; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister.

In addition to her parents and husband, Eloise was preceded in death by a granddaughter; five sisters, and two brothers.

Eloise’s family would like to thank her kind caregivers, Linda, Michelle, Caroline, Garold and John; the staff at Avalon Springs; and the members of her church who frequently visited her, Marsha and Ken Garver and Gary Salitino.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3613 Sharon Rd., West Middlesex, PA 16159.

Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday, in the church, with Rev. William Barron as celebrant.

Interment: St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
