Elmo R. Foust, formerly of Sharon, passed away at 2:05 a.m. Saturday (9-17-11) in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, after a brief illness. She was 91.
Mrs. Foust was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Brookfield, a daughter of Robert and Ruth Barker Jamieson.
A lifelong area resident, she was a 1937 graduate of Brookfield High School.
EImo was employed at the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant during World War II.
EImo was an exceptional homemaker and a lifelong active member of Brookfield United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, sewing, baking and crossword puzzles. She also loved her cats.
Her husband, Alfred J. Foust, whom she married May 29, 1943, passed away June 18, 1999.
Surviving are: a daughter, Beverly Foust, Sharon; three grandchildren, Julie Yendrek and her husband Tom, Brookfield; Elizabeth Drummond, Arlington, Va.; and Andrew Drummond, Brookfield; a great grandson, Blake Yendrek; and a sister, Iris Archer, Hermitage. She also leaves a son-inlaw, Thomas Drummond, Brookfield; a daughter-in-law, Frances Foust, Hermitage; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, EImo was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marsha Drummond; a son, David Foust; a sister, Edith Page; and two brothers, Lester and William Jamieson.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St. SE, Brookfield, OH 44403.

Dorothy M. Harper Fox Sanders of 833 Lakeview Dr. New Castle, PA. passed away at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in her residence. She was 85.
Mrs. Sanders was born in New Castle, PA on June 24, 1924, a daughter of the late Walter and Caroline Connor Harper.
She was a 1942 graduate of New Castle High School.
Dorothy retired from Kings Jewelry after 35 years as their bookkeeper and inventory control. In her early years she was employed at Haney's Furniture.
Mrs. Sanders was a member of the American Business Women's Association. She enjoyed cooking and most of all she loved her family.
Her husband, George Sanders, whom she married in 1961, passed away in 1977.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Donald L and his wife Theresa Fox and Russell B. and his wife Toni Fox both of New Castle, PA; 2 daughter-in-laws, Linda Fox of Ellwood City and Rosemary Fox of New Castle; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by; 2 sons, Walter G. and Robert W. Fox; a brother, Walter Harper; a sister, Della Finley Heinz.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 West Falls St. New Castle, PA 16101. There will also be calling hours one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. James A. Downs pastor of Christ the King Parish.
