Ellen Galicia, 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, formerly of Shady Drive, Farrell, passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2012, in John 23rd Home. She was 91.

Mrs. Galicia was born October 24, 1920 in Sharon, PA the daughter of James and Philomena De Noi Chioffi.

She graduated from Sharon High School in 1938.

She retired in 1985 from the Farrell Board of Education Office where she worked for over 25 years.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell.

A homemaker, she was a fantastic cook and she enjoyed playing bridge.

Her husband, Joseph A. Galicia, whom she married August 24, 1940, passed away July 18, 1991.

She is survived by one daughter Deborah Crosby and her husband George, San Francisco, CA; a son-in-law, Tim Kaibas; 4 grandchildren Damian Crosby and his wife Laura, Joel Crosby and Vanessa de Brer, Bethany Sincek, Lani Johnston; four great-grandchildren Caden Pax Crosby, Jaxon Kane Crosby, Aidan and Hudson Sincek; one sister Connie Isko, Brookfield, OH; one brother William Chioffi, Hermitage; and three special nieces Brenda Barone, Karen First and Phyllis Billioni; and a special friend, Linda Chiccarino Metts.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter Cherilyn 'Cherry' Kaibas; two sisters Lee White and Conchetta Ianelli; and one brother James Chioffi.

Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday (3-14-12) at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church, Farrell, with Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor as the celebrant.

Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
