Elizabeth "Betty" Terpack of Sharpsville passed away at
11:23 a.m.
Saturday, April 16, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, with her family by her side, after a short illness.
She was 86.
Mrs. Terpack was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Brookfield, a daughter of Frank and Theresa Bogner Edell.
She was a lifelong area resident and attended Brookfield High School.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the former A & P Grocery Store in Sharon.
Betty was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville.
Her passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She loved hosting Christmas Eve in her home, attending the annual Bavarian Fun Feast in Sharon where she enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music, going to the beach and having a good time.
She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving are: her husband of 57 years, Charles Terpack, whom she married June 21, 1958; four sons, Rick Burns and his wife Sue; Jim Burns and his wife Renita; and Jeff Burns and his wife Dawn, all Sharpsville; and Tim Terpack and his wife Lori, Sharon; ten grandchildren, Brian Burns and his wife Debbie; Tim Burns and his wife Julie; Steve Burns and his wife Jill; Matt Burns and his wife Julia; Rachal Myers and her husband Jeff; Katie Terpack; Tim Terpack; Staci Taylor and her husband Shawn; Joey Kuzmanko and his wife Corrine; and Erin Phibbs; 15 great grandchildren, Payton Burns, Carter Burns, Brendan Burns, Kaydence Robinson, Dominick Kuzmanko, Brianna Burns, Kylah Phibbs, Ava Grace Burns, Brayden Burns, Jasen Kuzmanko, Kinzleigh Merchant, Lucas Burns, Alaina Burns, Levi Myers, and
Ethan Ray
; two sisters, Helen Kiefer and her husband Bob, Kalamazoo, MI; and Eva Busch, Greenville; and three sisters-in-law, Mildred "Red" Edell, Hermitage; Jackie Jarrett and her husband Walter, Mercer; and Betty Hippley, Salem, OH.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Frank, Paul, George and Joe; two sisters, Mary Horvath and Frances Evans; and a grandson, Andrew Burns.
Family reunions and being around her loved ones was what kept Betty going in her golden years.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
