Elizabeth Powell, 88, of Farrell, passed away at 6:26 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2019, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage.
Ms. Powell was born December 8, 1930, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Edward and Julia (Booker) Missick.
A homemaker, Elizabeth was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the American Legion, Post #299 ladies auxiliary, Sharon.
An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, she also enjoyed cooking and playing cards and bingo.
She is survived by four sons, Raymond Powell and his wife Paula, of Wyoming, Mich., Robert Powell and his wife Linda, of Farrell, Chris Powell and his wife Leslie, of West Middlesex, and Brad Powell, of Sharpsville; seven grandchildren, Rebecca (Troy) Jonas, Ryan Powell, Tyler (Kate) Powell, and Trey, Tanner, Trent and Caden Powell; three great grandchildren, Ethan, Charly and Dillan Powell; a step-grandson, Ryan (Catherine) Waldorf and his children, Drake (Jadria) Henley, Isabella, Rose, Braden and Keeley Waldorf.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her former husband, Raymond Powell; three sisters, Annie Horodic, Margaret Carl Vacavitch and Irene Palmer; and two brothers, Frank and Richard Schebeck.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Sharon American Legion, Post #299, 1395 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
