Obituary

Elizabeth Jane Perfett Perjol, Whispering Oaks, 260 S. Buhl Farm Dr., Hermitage; formerly of Lynita Dr., Brookfield, Ohio, passed away at 11:10 a.m. (6-15-10) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. She was 87.

Mrs. Perjol was born June 11, 1923 in Gallitzin, PA a daughter of the late Andrew S. and Mary (Smutko) Krishock.

She was a 1941 alumna of Gallitzin High School and graduated from the former Altoona (PA) Business School.

Elizabeth was employed by the Sylvania Company in Altoona during WW II and moved to the area in the early 1950's. She retired with 33 years of service from the former McDowell National Bank in downtown Sharon where she was in charge of the bonds department and recognized by many of her customers as 'Betty Bonds'.

She was a member of the American Institute of Banking. Elizabeth was a woman of strong faith and a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon. She was a member of the former Junior Women's Club and, for many years, participated in their annual Folly's production. A talented artist, Elizabeth created many beautiful oil and water paintings that were often displayed at the former Valley Art's Guild; the Buhl Farm casino during Buhl Day; and many family members' homes. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. Affectionately known by many as 'Nana', she had a very good rapport with young people and frequently would be consulted for her advice and prayers. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Her husband, Thomas Andrew Perjol, died in 2005.

Surviving are: a daughter, Antoinette McCamant and her husband Dr. Donald R. McCamant, Sharon; two step-daughters, Cindy Fischer and her husband Gregory, Orange County, California; and Tina Saffar and her husband Abbas, Laguna Beach, California; four grandchildren, Nicole Walzer and her husband Gregory, Hermitage; Colleen Fitzpatrick, M.D. and her husband Raymond Fitzpatrick, M.D., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Megan and Nathan Pinfield, both Vancouver, British Columbia; four step-grandchildren, Lindsey and Andrew Fischer, both Los Angeles, California; and Leila and Isabelle Saffar, both Laguna Beach, California; five great grandchildren, Noah Conneely, Vancouver, British Columbia; Rhys Miller; and twins Ella and Emmett Walzer, all Hermitage; and Liam Fitzpatrick, Philadelphia; two brothers, Raymond Krishock, Los Angeles; and John Krishock and his wife Mary Ann, Reading, Pennsylvania; and a son-in-law, Lawrence Pinfield, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Besides her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Pinfield; a brother, William Krishock; and a former husband, Raymond Perfett.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shenango Valley Community Library, 11 N. Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.

Calling hours will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday (6-17-10) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday (6-18-10) in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Glenn R. Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
