Elizabeth M. "Betsy" Krisik, 90, passed away peacefully early Monday afternoon, December 2, 2024, in Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Krisik was born October 16, 1934, in Stoneboro, PA, a daughter of the late William and Mary (DeLarme) McKee, and graduated from Stoneboro High School. While in high school, she worked at the local drug store and movie theatre in Stoneboro.

Following graduation, Betsy took a job at Westinghouse in Sharon after being recruited by the U.S. Navy. She worked as a secretary in the Torpedo Division while at Westinghouse, where she met Wendell R. Krisik, Jr. The two were married on June 25, 1955, and enjoyed 67 years together prior to his passing on July 16, 2022.

Betsy, a homemaker, dedicated her life to caring for her family and their home. She also worked as a secretary at First Baptist Church in Sharon for 15 years, organizing the weekly bulletin and supervising the distribution of the church food pantry.

Betsy was a longtime member of the Church of Notre Dame and volunteered for 25 years as an I.D. verifier at the Holy Trinity Church polling location, both in Hermitage.

An extremely talented floral designer, she was very active in annual spring floral shows and won many awards at the Hickory Flower Show for her arrangements, often containing driftwood – a signature of hers.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Suzanne Krisik Bauer, and her husband, John, of Florida; a son, Robert Quentin Krisik, and his wife, Joyce, of New Hampshire; and a grandson, Benjamin Krisik, also of New Hampshire.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betsy was preceded in death by a brother, David McKee.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage, PA 16148.
