Elizabeth J. "Betty" Clepper, of Hermitage, formerly of S. Myers Ave., Sharon, passed away at 2:43 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 in John XXIII home, Hermitage. She was 92.

Mrs. Clepper was born December 22, 1923, in Leechburg, PA a daughter of Clyde Crawford and Alice (Cassidy) Crawford.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Apollo High School, and was a homemaker for her husband and six children.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon; and the Sharon Regional Health System Hospital Auxiliary.

Elizabeth enjoyed reading, going to church, making crafts, especially ceramics, watching her grandchildren and cooking family meals.

Surviving are: six children, Patricia J. Sanderson and her husband Richard, Butler; Gregory W. Clepper and his wife C. Minnette, Saegertown, PA; Timothy Lee Clepper and his companion Jill Callahan, Sharpsville; twins, Brian S. Clepper and his wife Jestina, Sharon; and Brenda S. McConnell and her husband Timothy, West Middlesex; and Mary Beth Dixon and her husband Joel, Mechanicsburg, PA; nine grandchildren, Sara Romanyak, Christine Bellis, Aaron Clepper, Alyse Richmond, Nathaniel Clepper, Rebecca Clepper, Jason Clepper, Annamarie Phillips and Nicholas Clepper; five great grandchildren, Kelsey Phillips, Natalia Clepper, Cameron Phillips, Kylie Bellis and Baby, R. Elizabeth Clepper; and a brother, Donald Crawford, Apollo.

Besides her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Wayne C. Clepper, on October 2, 2012, whom she married on August 18, 1952.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to John XXIII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Fwy, Hermitage, PA 16148.

Calling hours will be Sunday, from 4 p.m. until 7p.m. in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.


Funeral Mass will be Monday, at 12:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 79 Case Ave., Sharon. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church.
