Eleanore L. Kuhn of Forker Boulevard, Sharon, passed away peacefully of natural causes at 5:41 p.m. Saturday (3-21-15) in her residence. She was 90. Mrs. Kuhn was born Sept. 2, 1924, in Masontown, Fayette County, one of five children born to William Oran and Margaret Eleanor Hutchinson McDowell. She was a 1942 graduate of Georges Township High School. In 1945, she earned her bachelor of science degree in education from Waynesburg (Pa.) College. Eleanore began her teaching career in Fayette County, where she taught in both Ohiopyle and Belle Vernon. She taught the Wee Wisdom kindergarten class at First Presbyterian Church in Sharon. She later taught in Sharon School District from 1960 until her retirement in 1970. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sharon. Eleanore was a former member of the Sharon College Club, PSEA (Pennsylvania State Education Association) and NEA (National Education Association). She enjoyed reading and gardening. Her husband, William C. Kuhn, whom she married Sept. 20, 1919, survives at the residence. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.
