Eleanor Kosiorek, 91, of Hermitage, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, in UPMC Hamot Hospital, Erie, PA.
Mrs. Kosiorek was born on November 12, 1933, in Farrell, a daughter of the late Walter and Veronica Dmochowski. She was a 1951 graduate of Farrell High School.
Throughout her lifetime, she dedicated her time to being a loving homemaker.
Eleanor was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon.
In her younger years, she bowled and later found joy in playing cards. Eleanor was also a talented baker, known for her nut rolls and pie.
Her husband of 64 years, John A. Kosiorek, whom she married on August 2, 1952, passed away on March 23, 2016. Together, they took many vacations, her favorites being cruises. She vacationed on 23 cruises.
She is survived by a daughter, Marlene Porterfield and her husband, Russell, of Sharon; a son, Bruce Kosiorek, of Hermitage; two grandchildren, Russell Porterfield, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, of Darlington, PA, and Veronica Porterfield and her partner, Tim Vesonder, of Charlotteville, VA; three great-grandchildren, Daicey, David and Russell III; and a sister, Irene Chovan, of Sharon.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by a sister, Stella Biro; and two brothers, Myron and Edward Dmochowski.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to St. Joseph's Church, 79 Case Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday (05/29/2025)in St. Rose Cemetery Mausoleum, 779 Dutch Ln., Hermitage, PA, with Rev. James Power, officiating.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery Mausoleum.
