Elaine Tidswell, 71, of Hermitage, passed away due to complications of multiple sclerosis on Friday, August 21, 2020, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Tidswell was born March 11, 1949, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Manuel and Marion (Germano) DiClaudio. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1967 graduate of Sharon High School.
She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed playing 500 rummy and watching Little House on the Prairie. Elaine also loved to go camping in her motorhome, in particular at Pymatuning Lake.
She will be missed by her husband, William Tidswell, Sr., whom she married November 3, 1968; a daughter, Melanie Tidswell; a son, William Tidswell, Jr. and his wife Jackie, all of Hermitage; three grandchildren, Corey, Emma and Jacob; her former daughter-in-law, Lisa Spon Tidswell, of Sharon; a sister, Pamela Monteson and her husband Bob, of Hermitage; two brothers, August DiClaudio, of Sharon, and Frank DiClaudio, of Wheatland; and her dog, Jack.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by a sister, Paulette Adamchick; and a brother, Anthony DiClaudio.
Elaine's family would like to thank the staff of UPMC Home Health Care, especially Susan Baker and Tammy Martinez and her aides from Caregivers Plus, Cindy Snow and Sharon Hughes.
