Elaine F. Anderson, 2517 Romar Dr., Hermitage, Pa. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (1-9-10) at her residence. She was 72.

Elaine was born in Sharon on April 2, 1937 the daughter of John and Sophia Hazi Fait.

She graduated from Sharon High School and in her early years she worked at the former Sharon Transformer Division of the Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

She also worked for the Winner in Downtown Sharon and for the former Hall's Motor Transit in their West Middlesex terminal.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon.

She was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother who devoted countless hours as a caregiver to her parents in their final years. She loved her grandchildren dearly and she enjoyed attending all their school and sport related activities throughout the years. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She is survived by her son, James T. Anderson and his wife Lynn, and two grandchildren, James D. Anderson and Ashley N. Anderson all of Sharon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday (1-12-10) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (1-13-10) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church 79 Case Ave., Sharon with Rev. J. Thomas Dugan, senior associate pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
