Eileen V. Stull, 7210 Lamor Rd., Jefferson Township, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday (4-14-10) in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell. She was 72.
Mrs. Stull was born January 26, 1938 in Sharon the oldest child of the late James W. and Esther (Black) Shaffer.
She was a lifelong area resident and a 1955 graduate of Hickory High School.
Eileen was a secretary at the former Moyer Realty & Insurance Co., Inc., Sharon, from 1956 to 1960 and later from 1970 to 1974. She then served as a customer service representative for Leland C. King Insurance Agency in New Wilmington for 28 years, retiring in March of 2002.
Eileen was an avid reader and enjoyed the solitude of her back porch.
She will be remembered by many for her great sense of humor and her articulate and witty personality. She will be deeply missed by her loving family whom she cherished, particularly her grandchildren.
Her husband, Lawrence W. Stull, whom she married August 23, 1958, passed away February 2, 1990.
Surviving are: a daughter, Lee Ann Zigo and her husband Randy, Mercer; two sons, Lawrence J. Stull and his wife Natalie, West Middlesex; and Patrick M. Stull and his wife Sarah, Transfer; two grandchildren, Megan Eileen Zigo and Sebastian Stull; four sisters, Linda Klamer and her husband Keith, Jefferson Township; Ellen Pontius and her husband Tim, Volant; Carolyn Buchanan and her husband Mike, West Middlesex; and Marilyn Bishop, Texas; three brothers, James Shaffer, Sharon; William Shaffer and his wife Phyllis, Albion, PA; and Frederick Shaffer and his wife Helen, Mercer; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 3-7 p.m. today (4-16-10) and one hour before the service on Saturday (4-17-10) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
