Obituary

Eileen M. Baker, 95, of Neshannock Township, passed away on Thursdays morning August 20, 2015 in Jameson Hospital. She was born in Greenville, Pa on December 28, 1919 to the late James F. and Beulah Daugherty Mitchell. She was a graduate of New Castle High School and later graduated from Pinkerton Secretarial School in Pittsburgh, Pa. Eileen was first employed at the New Castle News in New Castle as the private secretary to Mr. Jacob Rentz. She retired from the Prudential Insurance Company as an office manager after 33 years of service. Eileen married Andrew D. Baker on September 6, 1952 and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2000. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother James F. Mitchell III and a half brother, William Mitchell. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 W. Falls St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday (08-24-15) at 10 a.m. in St. Camillus Church, with the Rev. Michael R. Peck, pastor, as celebrant. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
