Edward A. “Skip” Winslow, Jr., of Hermitage, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2026, following his relentless battle with Alzheimer’s. He was 84.

As a lifelong resident of the Shenango Valley, Ed was born July 23, 1941, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to Edward A. Winslow, Sr., and Anne (Mehalko) Winslow. A 1959 graduate of Sharon High School, he attended Youngstown State University receiving a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1964 and a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Akron in 1967. As a licensed professional engineer for over fifty years, Ed led his company, Winslow Engineering, completing thousands of civil and structural engineering projects throughout Mercer County and the United States.

Ed was a true hot rod visionary his entire life and was known for building cars with his son and friends, often driving to events across the country. He also enjoyed skiing with friends and family. Ed was widely known for his bigger-than-life personality and his generosity towards others.

Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia (Kouch) Winslow, with whom he explored the world, spreading joy to all they met. Together, Ed and “Trish” created countless memories during their travels to 25 countries across five continents. From dancing together in Argentina to safaris in South Africa, they shared a lifetime of adventures and endless stories from their time together.

Ed is also survived by his sons, David Winslow, of Sharon, Eric Winslow, of York, Michael Winslow, of Miami, FL, and Christopher (Sandee) Winslow, of Hermitage, and his stepdaughter, Lauren (Jon) Carine; grandchildren Justin and Meredith Winslow, Ellie, Nathan, Wesley, and Chloe Winslow, Kaitlin (Alex) Marosy, Nicole, and Ben Winslow; great grandchildren Mason and Alivia Marosy; brothers Lawrence Winslow, of London, OH, Thomas Winslow, of Lakeland, FL, and Gary (Alice Bernat) Winslow, of Northampton, MA.
