Tarko
March 3, 1935 – March 2, 2017
Mr. Tarko was born March 3, 1935, in
Lawrence, Pa., a son of Walter J. and Stephina Kalanonvicz Tarko. He was a 1953 graduate of Brookfield High School.
Following high school, Edward enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served for three years during the Korea era. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant first class in 1956 and received the National Defense Service Medal.
Edward was employed by the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant, where he worked as a steel bundler for 30 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Debbie Saxon and her husband Mike, O'Fallon, Mo.; Terri Edmunds and her husband Dennis, Wooster, Ohio; Sherry Hampton and her husband Bob, Athens, Texas; and April Ashley and her husband Robert, Wooster; four sisters, Eileen Green, Masury; Gertrude O'Dell, Hubbard; Helen Sandor, Hermitage; and Marian Karasonivivh, Michigan; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Sobash and Katherine Spon; and his former spouse, Joan Dinsmor.

3 p.m. to time of service Thursday (3-9-17) in J. BRADLEY McGONIGLE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Service:
Memorial service at 5 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Honor Guard will render military honors prior to the service.
