Edward "Ted" Spohn, Jr., 57, of Farrell, passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, February 9, 2019, in his home, with his wife by his side.

Ted was born December 19, 1961, in Sharon, a son of the late Edward T. Spohn, Sr. and Peggy (Haun). A lifelong area resident, he attended Farrell High School.

He loved his job at Moroco Construction. Over his 18 years of employment he developed a special bond with Joe and Jack Moroco, and all of the Moroco family and work crew has become his "extended family."

He loved music and attending concerts with his daughter. Ted also enjoyed fishing, his dogs and spending time in the garage. Ted adored his grandsons and attended all of their Big Red sporting events. His grandson's teammates even referred to him as "Papa Ted."

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, the former Charlene Cupic; a daughter, Danielle Cupic, of West Middlesex; a son, Teddy Spohn, of Hermitage; his step-father, Charles Travis, of Wheatland; three grandchildren, Christian and Tyler Snyder, and Mia Grace; three brothers, Robert K. Spohn and his wife Jorene, of Masury, OH, Clarence Spohn, of Sharon, and William "Tater" McCoy, of Masury; a half-sister, Teri Ross, of CA; and three half-brothers, Bill Folsom, of GA, John Spohn, of FL, and David Wakefield, of TN. Ted will also missed by his nieces and nephews with whom he shared a special bond, particularly Justin Cupic, Felicia and Theresa Catleberry, and Kayla Custer, all which he helped raise.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by a brother, Brian C. Spohn.

Calling hours will be 1 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday (02/14/2019) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home.
