Obituary

Edward J. Lisac, Jr., 53, of Farrell, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021, in Sharon Regional Medical Center, from complications following a brief illness.

Ed was born June 2, 1967, in Sharon, a son of Edward and Jeanne (Stupinsky) Lisac, Sr. He was a 1986 graduate of Kennedy Christian High School and earned an associate degree in business management and accounting from ITT Technical Institute, Youngstown.  Later, he completed the municipal police training from Mercyhurst University through Thiel College in Greenville.

He was employed in law enforcement for 25 years, in various departments, including, Johnston, OH, S.W. Mercer County Regional, Mercer and most recently Sharpsville. Following retirement, he worked at Warehouse Sales in downtown Sharon.

Ed was of the Catholic Faith.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. His proudest moment as a police officer was when he successfully delivered a child while working in Mercer.

He is survived by his wife, the former Sherry Taylor, whom he married October 12, 2006; his parents, of Sharpsville; a son, William Lisac, at home; a sister, Michele Canon and her husband Jim, of Sharpsville; a brother, Michael Lisac and his wife Sonja, of West Middlesex; and nieces and nephews, Muncie and Lucas Canon, and Brianna and Addison Zeigler, who referred to him as "Uncle Head."
