Edward C. Glover, 1735 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly at 7:23 a.m. Thursday (8-19-10) at his residence. He was 85.
Mr. Glover was born October 9, 1924 in Deegan, PA a son of the late Timothy P. and Minnie Ryder Glover.
He was a 1943 graduate of Butler High School and a 1948 graduate of Bliss Electrical School, Takoma Park, MD.
Ed served with the US Navy aboard the USS W. Virginia during WW II.
He retired as a supervisor in 1999 from Delphi Packard, Warren, Ohio where he was employed for twenty five years. He previously worked at the former Sharon Transformer Division of the Westinghouse Electrical Corporation.
Ed was a man of strong faith and a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Sharon as well as many Christian organizations. A Free and Accepted 32nd degree Mason, he was a member of Lodge # 517, Sharpsville; the Zem Zem Shrine and its wheel patrol, Erie, PA; and the Scottish Rite of the New Castle Consistory. Ed was an avid golfer and reader and enjoyed gardening. He loved his family immensely and will be remembered as a kind, gentle and selfless individual.
Surviving is his wife, the former Helen Ferko, whom he married July 15, 1950. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past month. He also leaves: three daughters, Minda S. Glover, Hiram, Ohio; Tifany Matta and her husband Greg, Sharpsville; and Kimberly Krivosh and her husband Larry Varsho, Sharon; four grandchildren whom he adored, Cyril and Quinn Krivosh; Richard Siegfried; and Jacob Matta; and a brother, Timothy Glover, Butler, PA.
Besides his parents, Ed was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Fisher, Polly Laslow and Ina Glover; two brothers, Richard and Charles Glover; and a son-in-law, Paul Krivosh.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday (8-22-10) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Requiem Eucharist will be 10 a.m. Monday (8-23-10) in St. John's Episcopal Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Alan Coudriet officiating.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage, with military honors rendered by the West Middlesex VFW and the Wheatland American Legion Honor Guard.
