Edward Clayton Blakley Jr. of Sharon passed away peacefully at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday (2-24-15) in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System, after an extended illness and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 57. Mr. Blakley was born Feb. 4, 1958, in Sharon, a son of Edward Clayton Blakley Sr. and Grazia M. (Vaow) Blakley. A lifelong resident of Mercer County, he graduated from Grove City High School in 1977. Ed was an auto mechanic by trade, previously workeing at Preston America, West Middlesex, and at Maxwell Motors, Grove City. In addition to his companion of 10 years, Donna L. Lenzi, with whom he lived, he is survived by: two daughters, Stephanie A. Blakley, McKees Rocks; and Sara T. Jordan, Mount Lebanon; four sisters, Carla L. Edmiston Lynch, Erie; Lola M. Kaltenbaugh, Grove City; Esther B. "Dolly" Pacileo, Albion; and Dawn M. Blakley, Erie; and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert J. Blakley. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Calling hours: None, in keeping with his wishes.
