Edna Mae Maskrey of Brookfield passed away at 12:38 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, after an extended illness. She was 83.
Mrs. Maskrey was born January 2, 1933, in Sharon. She was a 1950 graduate of Brookfield High School and attended the former Sharon Commercial Institute.
A homemaker, Edna Mae's family was her main priority. For more than 40 years she has tended to the needs of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She and her husband also owned and operated The Tool Shed in Brookfield for thirty-five years.
Edna enjoyed sports and was a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving are: her husband of nearly 65 years, Robert Maskrey, whom she married February 9, 1952, in Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon; a daughter, Barbara Manners and her husband Terry; and a son, Robert A. Maskrey and his wife Cheryl, all Masury; six grandchildren, Bob Manners and his wife Nikki; Tom Manners and his wife Shelley; Sheila, Stacey and Sherry Maskrey; and Kimberly Myers; and 7 great grandchildren, Dylan and Ashley Manners; twins, Cole and Chase Manners; Brayden Maskrey, Brooklyn Williams and Lucas Maskrey.
Edna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Margaret Richards; and a daughter, Janice Myers.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, December 8, 2016, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2016, in the funeral home, with Pastor Stephen Linamen of Paynes Corners Christian Church, Brookfield, officiating.
Interment: Brookfield Twp. Cemetery.
