Edna L. Duffee, 86, of 5265 Charlotte Lane, Bryan TX.,formerly of Neshannock Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday September 3, 2012 surrounded by her family.

Edna was born in New Castle on February 18, 1926 to Luke and Edna L. Costello Flynn.

Edna was formerly employed at Bell Telephone as an operator and was the office manager for Dr. William Bannister for 20 years. She later owned and operated Duffee's Tavern for ten years.

She was a former member of the Lawrence County Taverns Association, the Eagles Club and the Eintracht. Edna was also a former member of St. Mary's Church, Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.

She is survived by three daughters, Paulette Hunt of Bryan, TX with whom she made her home, Linda L. McCaskill of Goldsboro, NC and Edna R. Restino of New Castle; Four sons, Jeff W. and Michael T. Duffee both of New Castle and Milton W. and Bill C. Duffee both of Bryan, TX.; one sister, Mary Beth Jones of Sharon and a brother John J. Seger of Ocala,Fl. Twenty five grandchildren, twenty nine great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her father, her mother Edna L. Seger, her husband Willard, a grandson Ernie Lesher II and Infant twin grand daughters Erin Jo and Magan Elizabeth Hunt.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9 a.m on Saturday for St. Mary's Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Nicholas S. Vaskov will officiate.
