Duchess Pope Dorman

Duchess Pope Dorman, 43, of Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, March 30, 2026, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Duchess was born March 28, 1983, in Sharon, a daughter of William Heckathorn and Katherine Pope, and attended both Sharon and Farrell High Schools.

An exceptional homemaker, Duchess was a wonderful wife and devoted mother. She was also formerly employed by American Cap Manufacturing in Wheatland, PA.

She had a talent for working with her hands and enjoyed crafts of all kinds. Duchess also loved animals and cherished the many pets she had throughout her life.

Her beloved husband, Jay Kenneth Dorman, whom she married August 24, 2025, survives at their home in Sharpsville.

Duchess is also survived by a son, Christen Pope, of Sharpsville; a step-son, Ayden Dorman, of Slippery Rock, PA; a sister, Heather Pope, of West Middlesex; and several nieces and nephews.

Duchess was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday (4-6-26) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
