Dorothy A. Syrjanen, 957 Highland Road, Sharon, passed away at 8:15 a.m.on Monday (5-3-2010) at her residence following an extended illness. She was 64.

Dorothy was born June 3, 1946 in Sharon the daughter of John and Laura Magee Ball. She was a 1964 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School.

She was employed at the former Sharon Chrysler dealership on State Street in Sharon where she had been a sales associate for over 25 years.

She is a member of the Sharon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and she enjoyed golfing.

Her husband, Richard R. Syrjanen, whom she married January 31, 1981 survives at home. Also surviving are a daughter, Laurie A. Lorena, Hermitage, two sisters, Mary Bandy, Maryland and Jane Bartholomew, Atlantic, PA; four brothers, John Ball and his wife Betty, and George Ball, all of Atlantic. Pa. (Crawford County), William and Ralph Ball, of Virginia; a granddaughter, Kayla Amico and a son-in-law, Joseph Amico both of Glen Allen, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Amico.

The family suggests memorial contribution may be made to the Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care 2320 Highland Road, Hermitage Pa 16148
