Dorothy "Dodie" (Renn) Hutchison passed from this life on September 4, 2025, at home in Wheatland, PA.

Dodie was born on May 20, 1960, in Fall River, MA, the 9th of 11 children to the late Dorothy Ann (Flynn) and Floyd F. Renn Sr. She attended BMC Durfee High School, and Bristol Community College, both in Fall River.

Her college professor, Rylan Brenner, described Dodie perfectly, "I'm so deeply sorry for this loss.. I wish each of you, Dodie's family, her friends and loved ones, and each person who has had the honor to be in her beautiful circle, my condolences. Dodie was a true artist, an honest heart, a courageous human being whose curiosity, kindness, loyalty, and sense of adventure combined to create a lovely and talented woman whose clear vision touched so many people. As one of her professors, I was touched by her unique and inspiring talents and her passion for learning, along with her admirable refusal to accept things as they were presented. I will always miss her vision and her artistic voice. Sad news indeed!!"

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Hutchison; daughter, Katie Renn, of Sharon, PA, and her four children, Christopher, Nathaniel "Grey," Timothy and Julianne; a stepdaughter, TrishaLee (Caleb) Boggs, of Ellwood City, PA, and their daughter, AraBella. Also surviving are eight siblings, Joan Galvin and her wife Carla Gilliam, of OR, Frances Higson, of MA, Marion Grant, of AZ, John F. Renn and his wife, Marcia, of MA, Kathleen Ruth, of WA, Floyd F. Renn Jr., of WA, David Renn, of CT, and Margery Renn, of AZ, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Dodie was preceded in death by two siblings, Elizabeth Renn (2022) and Christopher Renn (1991).

Per Dodie's wishes, there are no funeral arrangements. She said she wanted her life celebrated.
