Obituary
Dorothy Rosella Fagan, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully under hospice care at 4:27 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in Living Lake Vista, Cortland, Ohio, with her daughter by her side. She was 91.
Mrs. Fagan was born June 1, 1927, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Gilbert A. and Rosella (O'Grady) Alward. She was a 1945 alumna of Sharpsville High School and was employed for five years by Bell Telephone.
A homemaker, Dorothy was an active member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
Her husband, William E. Fagan, whom she married October 23, 1948, passed away in 1975.
Dorothy was an avid bridge player and enjoyed spending time with her friends.
Surviving is a daughter, Patricia "Patty" A. Gerin and her husband Daniel, of Howland Township, Ohio; two sons, William "Timothy" Fagan and his wife Ann, of Charlotte, N.C.; and James Michael Fagan and his wife Debra, of Bellefonte, Pa.; four grandchildren, Josh and Nate Fagan; and Sean and Ryan Gerin; and two great grandsons, Ethan and Owen.
Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Patrick Fagan, who died in infancy.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ohio Living Lake Vista, 303 N. Mecca St., Cortland, Ohio 44410 or to Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, 6715 Tippecanoe Rd., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, in the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highlands Rd., Hermitage, with the Very Rev. Richard J. Allen, E.V., pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
