Obituary

Dorothea E. 'Dolly' Hogue, 255 South Oakdale Ave. Hermitage, Pa. passed away peacefully at 4:50 p.m. on Thursday (2-19-09) in the Hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. She was 89.
Dolly was born on July 4, 1919 in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania the daughter of Frederick and Hazel Bell Miller.
She graduated from Sharon High School.
She was a homemaker and during WWII she was employed at the former Sharon Transformer division of the Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Dolly enjoyed golfing in the Thursday ladies league at Tam O'Shanter Golf Course and she also enjoyed bowling with the Thursday morning ladies league at Hickory Bowl.
She was a devoted Cleveland Indians fan.
Her husband Lee Hogue whom she married on April 13, 1939, passed away on August 22, 1982
She leaves her two daughters, Nancy L. Scharville and her husband Gary, and Joanie A. Hogue, all with whom she lived, two sons, Gary L. Hogue and his wife Carol, Sharpsville, and James A. Hogue of Ft. Washington MD; Gertrude Marenchin, Punta Gorda, Fl; three grandchildren, Amy Park and her husband David, Las Vegas, ND; Janine Jones and her husband Douglas, Pittsburgh; and Trisha Scharville, Hubbard, OH; one great grandson Ethan Park.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Leanne Scharville, a son David Hogue, and a brother Thomas A. Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Calling hours: 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday (2-23-09) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.
Services: 11:00 a.m. on Monday (2-23-09) in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Carlson, pastor of Oakland Avenue United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
