A funeral service will be held Saturday for Doris L. Work of Clepper Manor, Sharon. She passed away peacefully at 1:20 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in her residence. She was 81.
Mrs. Work was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Sharon to Burt O. and Hazel Duffy Weston.
She was a member of Sharpsville Church of the Nazarene. Doris enjoyed bingo and participating in activities at the Shenango Valley Center for Aging and Geriatric Health, Hermitage.
Her husband, William Work, is deceased.
Surviving are: three daughters, Doris Dignan, Mesa, Ariz.; Mae Kelley, Sharon; and Mary Ann Spangler and her husband Dave, Hermitage; a son, William Work and his wife Mary Ann, Sharon; and four sisters, Ida Newton and Resetta Boles, both Hermitage; Hazel Stafford, Texas; and Phyllis Sherman, Greenville. She will be missed by her 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Lucille Lutton, Betty Weston and Frances Swogger.
