Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday (8-11-15) for Donna Jean Sample, Brookfield, OH, who passed away Friday (8-7-15) morning in her home following her third courageous bout with cancer. She was 56. She was born September 22, 1958 in Sharon, Pa., the daughter Joseph Volansky Jr. & Jean Swartz Volansky. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from what was then Kennedy Christian High School in 1977. Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, riding motorcycle with her husband, traveling to Montana, and simply being outdoors. She belonged to St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. She is survived by her husband Lawrence Sample at home, her two sons, Robert Mott and his wife Brandi, MT, Nicholas Mott and his two daughters, Ava and Viera Mott, all of Hermitage; her mother, Jean Volansky, Sharon, her siblings, Judith Volansky, Sharon, Kathleen Townsend and her husband John, Nagshead, NC, Joseph Mark Volansky and his wife Lisa, Sharon, Mary Lynn Mathews and her husband Kent, Gibsonia, Pa., Joan Marie Cave, Cranberry, Pa., Richard Paul Volansky and his wife Marie, MI, Linda Jane Volansky, Sharon, and Lisa Truchan, Stafford, Va. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters in law, Lee and Jo Marie Sample, and Dee Dee and Gary Sweezey, and several nieces and nephews. Her father and her infant daughter Kaitlyn, and her former husband Bob Mott preceded her in death. Her family asks that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in her memory to please consider any organization dedicated to helping find a cure for cancer or helping its victims.
