Donna L. Dittmer Montgomery, 93, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 11, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. Montgomery was born May 22, 1930, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Lewis S. "Lou" and Della P. (Mershimer) Kline.

Donna worked as a bookkeeper at Silverman's Shoe Store in Downtown New Castle, and later in life, worked as a caretaker at the Bair Foundation in New Wilmington.

Donna was a longtime member of the Neshannock Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed gardening and crafting, and above all else, loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband Art Montgomery, whom she married February 14, 1994, preceded her in death July 11, 2011.

Donna is survived by a son, William Dittmer, Jr. (Bonnie), Madison, ME; three daughters, Shirley Davidson (Ken), Hubbard, OH, Jeanne Vatavuk (Rick), Hermitage, and Donna Branca (Ralph), Mercer; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Dittmer; a granddaughter, Rachel Vatavuk; twin grandsons, John Carl and Shawn Carl Dittmer; three sisters; and nine brothers.
