Donna Jean Griffith, 80, of Hermitage, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, in her home.

Mrs. Griffith was born on December 18, 1943, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Steven and Anna (Lawrence) Ruzich. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1961 graduate of Hickory High School.

Donna was a longtime employee of UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, where she retired as the Lobby shop manager.

She loved the outdoors, taking as much in as possible on her daily walks. Additionally, she had a passion for horses and dogs. She was also a devoted fan of Johnny Cash and named her dog after him. Donna also liked watching the Game Show Network, and above all, cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Her husband, Joel Mark Griffith, Sr., whom she married on October 4, 1962, passed away on April 3, 2009.

She is survived by three sons, Joel Mark Griffith, Jr. and his wife Linda, Brownstown, MI, Kyle Scott Griffith and his wife Christina, Hermitage, and Darren James Griffith and his wife Megan, Lisbon, OH; six grandchildren, B.J. Bennett and his wife Melissa, Brent and Cassidy Griffith, Dustin Bennett, and Kyle Michael and Callen Griffith; one greatgrandchild, Eleanor Marie Bennett; and her dog, Cash.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by a sister, Emily "Cookie" Houk.
