Obituary
Donna Jean Gregory, of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly while visiting family in Texas on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in Seton Medical Center, Kyle, Texas. She was 82.
Mrs. Gregory was born September 7, 1935, in Sharon, a daughter of Kenneth and Blanche E. (Clark) Fette. She was raised in Sharpsville and was a 1953 graduate of Sharpsville High School. A homemaker, Donna was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sharpsville. She was a longtime volunteer with AWARE in Sharon and also helped support the Sharon Democratic Committee. Donna loved traveling to Texas and Indiana to visit family and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sitting on her porch swing and tending to her roses.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Gregory, whom she married May 7, 1955; four sons, Dennis Gregory and his wife Pam, La Porte, IN; Marvin Gregory and his wife Joan, Hermitage; Michael Gregory, Greenville; and Robert Gregory and his wife Barbara, Austin, TX; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; two brothers, William Kenneth Fette, Transfer; and Harold Fette and his wife Virginia, Sharon; and a daughter-in-law, Doreen Gregory, Masury.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel L. Gregory, Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Susan Gregory; and two sisters, Shirley Christy and Sandra Winner.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St. Sharon .
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017, in the funeral home, with Rev. Aaron Lego, lead pastor of Grace Chapel Community Church, Hermitage, officiating.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
