Donna Belle Bender, 90, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, November 6, 2024, in Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Bender was born July 6, 1934, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Hughey) Morgan, and graduated from Hickory High School in Hermitage.

A homemaker, Donna truly enjoyed caring for her husband and family, especially their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Donna was a member of the former I.H.S. Gospel Ministries in Hermitage, where she also played the organ for many years. She was a very talented organist and played in many venues for various occasions throughout her life.

Her husband of 62 years, Richard G. "Dick" Bender, Sr., whom she married October 11, 1952, preceded her in death on January 6, 2015.

Donna is survived by a daughter, Jackie Dahringer (Harold), Hermitage; three sons, Richard G. "Dicky" Bender, Jr., Hermitage; Timothy J. Bender (Dawn), Big Pine Keys, FL, and Ralph A. Bender (companion, Kara), Sharon; three grandchildren, Harold Dahringer, Jr. (Nicole), Shanna Guggenheim, and Micah Bender (Amy); and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Truxell; and a brother, Ralph Morgan, Jr.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday (11-11-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

A funeral service will be held immediately following at 1 p.m., in the funeral home, with Rev. John Trojak, officiating.

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
