Donald H. Williams, Jr. of Sharpsville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 22 at his home. He was 68.
He was born February 6, 1943 in Sharon, the son of Donald H. and Della (Bert) Williams, Sr.
He was a 1961 graduate of Sharpsville High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea where he worked in the Signal Corp.
He had previously worked for GATX in Masury, USX in Gary, IN., Festler Machine in Sharon, and he retied from Wheatland Tube in 2008.
He was a member of the Sharpsville Masonic Lodge and the Sharpsville VFW. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, model train sets, and visiting the VFW.
He is survived by two sons; Cory P. Williams of Sharon and Dwayne D. Williams of Pittsburgh. He also leaves behind three sisters; Dorothy (Kevin) Scott of Kennedy Township, Delores (Robert) Williams of Upland, Calif., and Delnora (Grant) Taylor of Sharpsville; three grandchildren; Makenzy, Tyler, and Rhylie Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Atkinson.
A private graveside service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery in Sharpsville.
