Donald J. Weigle

Donald J. Weigle, 70, of Farrell, passed away peacefully early Friday afternoon, July 24, 2026, in Hospice of the Valley – Hospice House, Youngstown, OH.

Mr. Weigle was born June 18, 1956, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late William and Norma (Fratus) Weigle, and was a 1976 graduate of Shade High School, Somerset County, PA.

He worked as a laborer for Sani Dairy, Johnstown, for many years before beginning a career with Dean’s Dairy, Sharpsville, where he continued in the same capacity for more than 40 years. He retired in 2023, after a lifetime of dedicated service.

On January 29, 1983, he married the former Brenda Miller, she survives at home. Together, they shared 43 years of marriage.

Don was a hardworking man who took great pride in caring for his home and yard, often spending time on his Kubota tractor. He enjoyed painting ceramics for his garden, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, listening to audiobooks, and relaxing with his favorite television shows. He also looked forward to fireworks displays, feeding and watching the birds, and he loved his two cats, Kub and Bota.

In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his daughter, Nikki Gaudette (Don), Youngstown, OH; two brothers, Bill Weigle (Jody), Somerset, PA, and John Weigle (Tammy), Friedens, PA; and three sisters, Nancy Laflower (Larry), Hammond, IN, Kathy Weigle, Lexington, KY, and Sandy Younkin (Tim), Lawton, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Weigle; and sister, Beverly Certeza.
