Donald Eugene "Don" Redmond, Jr., 71, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in his home.

Don was born on July 5, 1952, in Greenville, PA, a son of the late Donald and Gladys (Reinhart) Redmond, Sr. He was a 1971 graduate of Farrell High School and earned his associate degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

He began his career at the former Peter J. Schmidt Co. and Golden Dawn. He ultimately was a self-employed contractor for over 40 years, owning and operating Redmond's Painting. He truly enjoyed working and took pride in going above and beyond for all of his clients and family members.

Don attended Family Life Church, Hermitage. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5286, Farrell.

His most cherished moments were time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also looked forward to vacations and being at the beach.

He is survived by his wife, the former Tina Rust, whom he married on August 12, 1995; three daughters, Carly Donnarummo (Salvatore), South Pymatuning Twp., Chantal Redmond (Deven McLaughlin), and Shannon Redmond (Alex Palmer), both of Hermitage; a son, Donald E. Redmond, III (Eugenia), Chicago, ILL; a stepson, Dustin Ohl (Ashley Clark), Sharpsville; a grandson, Jett McLaughlin; and two step-grandchildren, Alice and Oliver Ohl. Also surviving are two sisters, Carol Baumgartner, Youngstown, OH, and Kathy Novotney, Bentleyville, PA; and two brothers, Dennis Redmond (Liana), Hermitage, and Leo D'Amore (Marcia), Sharpsville.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Brooke Ohl; a sister, Kathy Turjanica D'Amore; and six brothers, Michael and Gary Redmond, Timothy Martin, and David, Thomas and Kenneth D'Amore.
