Donald James Mack, 84, of Farrell, passed away Saturday morning, April 11, 2026, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage.
Mr. Mack was born September 11, 1941, in Homestead, PA, a son of the late Donald J. and Frances J. (Rannard) Mack and was a 1959 graduate of Slippery Rock High School.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army, during which time he was stationed in Germany. Upon his honorable discharge in 1963, he worked as a salesman for the former Imperial Dry Cleaners, Sharon, and later as an independent truck driver until his retirement.
He was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and found great joy sharing his faith with others. He often credited his 55 years of sobriety as the path that led him to his faith.
Donald enjoyed fishing, golfing, reading his Bible, and spending time with his family and friends. He spent many hours at local libraries exploring a wide range of interests. He also brought joy to others by playing music and singing outside his room at St. John XXIII Home.
On April 24, 1965, he married the love of his life, the former Sophie Kline, in the former St. Ann's Church, Farrell. She preceded him in death on February 10, 2025.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Lisa Jennings; son, Thomas Mack (Debby); sister, Veronica Mistovich (Michael); two grandchildren, Ashley Sherick (Anthony), and Ryan Mack, who is serving in the United States Air Force, Little Rock, AR; a granddaughter-in-law, Mallory Jennings; and one great-grandson, Leo Jennings.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Eric Mack; brother, Terry Mack; sister, Gail Mack; and grandson, Shane Michael Jennings.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. John XXIII Home, for the exceptional care they provided.
In keeping with Donald's wishes, there will be no services.
