Donald Lee Douglass, Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly at 1:30 a.m. Sunday (11-1-15) in Juniper Village, Sharon. He was 75. He was born August 27, 1940 in Sharon the son of Arthur Leroy and Evelyn Pauline Davies Douglass. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Sharon High School in 1958. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force, during his tour of duty he was stationed in Turkey for 18 months. He worked for 17 years as a dispatcher for Warner & Smith Motor Freight, Inc. in Masury, Ohio, and he also worked for Bristol Consolidators Inc. in Greenville (Transfer) for several years. He was a sports fan who loved to root for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, college basketball, and in his earlier years he enjoyed bowling. He is survived by his daughter, Daphne L Parrish and her husband David, West Middlesex, two sons, Donald A. Douglass and his wife Jodi, Greenville, Daniel J. Douglass and his wife Aimee, Verona, Pa. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Dusty Douglass and his wife Ashlee, Caleb Douglass and his wife Rachel, Shelby Douglass, Chuckie Wilcox, Alex Parrish, and two great grandchildren Nevaeh and Kayleigh Wilcox, and his former wife Joan W. Harris, Brookfield, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday (11-3-15) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (11-4-15) in the funeral home chapel. Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage, with full military honors.
