Don S. Dunham, 69, of Sharpsville, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in Andover (OH) Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mr. Dunham was born February 25, 1952, in Sharon, a son of the late Donald and Helen (Stevens) Dunham.
Don was a graduate of Sharpsville High School. After graduation he obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State University, main campus. He retired as the Controller of Sharon Regional Medical Center.
Don had an appreciation for service to his community and volunteered for many organizations, including the Sharpsville Service Club, Habitat for Humanity, Sharon Elks #103, and Sharon American Legion Post #299. He enjoyed participating in sports and played in softball and racquetball leagues. An avid golfer, he was an original member at Avalon Lakes (OH). Don and Pat loved to take cruises and would go on one or two trips a year to the Caribbean islands.
Don had a fondness for all genres of music and had hundreds of vinyl records throughout the house. But most of all, Don enjoyed "pool days" with the family, especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Harshman whom he married on June 14, 1985; two daughters, Maria (Brian) Drogell, Medina, OH, and Tamara Dunham, Sharpsville; a sister Jan (Jeff) O'Malley, also of Sharpsville; three grandchildren, Brayden Drogell, Olivia Drogell and Cora Dunham; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Supel.
Family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Shenango Valley Animal Shelter, 2599 Broadway Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148 .
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or service.
