Dianne Lynne Powell, 70, of Sharon, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in her home.
Mrs. Powell, also affectionately known as Lady De and Grandma De, was born on October 29, 1954, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Marie (Kurelko) Palik. She attended the former Sacred Heart Parochial Grade School, Sharon and was a 1972 graduate of Kennedy Catholic High School.
Dianne earned her Registered Nursing License from St. Elizabeth Hospital, School of Nursing. She spent more than 46 years working as a staff nurse at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Farrell. Following retirement, she looked forward to having breakfast and walking with her colleagues.
Dianne was of the Catholic faith and a member of the former St. Stanislaus Church, Sharon.
She was the matriarch of her family and ensured her family traditions had been carried on. Dianne enjoyed cooking and baking and loved to share her wonderful foods with a house full of guests and kids. Carefully preparing special gifts for people also gave her joy.
A voracious reader, she also enjoyed crafting, sewing and gardening. She cherished spending time with her friends and family at her camp in Marienville, PA. Above all, Dianne had a special way of touching lives.
Her husband, Robert "Gomer" Powell, whom she married on May 13, 1974, passed away on October 19, 2004.
She is survived by two daughters, Erica Powell, of Masury, OH, and Jolene (Brandon) Stieb, of Sharpsville; a son, Joseph (Shannon Ray) Powell, of Masury; two bonus children, Alane (Steven) Jewel, of Sharon, and Rick (Sheri Sabulsky) Fraley, of Masury; ten grandchildren, Jason (Ashley Carrera) Reed, Mara (Brandon) Mellott, Josephine, Aylah, and Little Brandon Stieb, Olivia, Ezra, Krymsyn and Klover Powell, and Lucas Jewel; and two great-grandchildren, Francesca Reed and Baby Boy Mellott who is on the way. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Miller, of Sharon; seven sisters, and countless in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be at noon, Tuesday, in the church.
Interment: Brookfield Twp. Cemetery.
