Dianna L. Murphy, 57, of Sharon, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, September 16, 2018, in UPMC Passavant Hospital- McCandless.

Dianna was born November 17, 1960, in Monroeville, PA, a daughter of Donald and Vernice (Martines) Gehring. She was a 1978 graduate of Penn-Trafford High School, Harrison City, PA. Dianna continued her education at Indiana University of PA.

Dianna was employed as an iron worker in Pittsburgh and was proud to assist with the construction of the PPG building. Later she was employed as a waitress by King's Restaurant in Penn Hills before transferring to the Grove City location.

Dianna was a member New Life Baptist Church, New Wilmington, where she was involved in the Celebrate Recovery program. She enjoyed music, singing, nature, arts and crafts, sewing and going to the movies with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Owen Murphy, whom she married in February, 1999; two sons, Joshua Pampena; and Donovan Murphy, both of Sharon; three sisters, Patricia Jones, Irwin, PA; Donna Carter; and Mary Albright and her husband Samuel, both of Mt. Pleasant, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Dianna was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Frances Gehring.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Joshua's Haven, 1230 Stambaugh Ave., Farrell, PA 16121.

In keeping with Dianna's wishes there will be no calling hours or service.
