Dennis J. Bowser, 82, of Hermitage passed away with family at his side Tuesday evening, January 30, 2024, following a brief illness.

Mr. Bowser was born March 16, 1941, in Kittanning, PA, a son of the late Richard H. and Alice (Miller) Bowser and graduated from West Middlesex High School in 1959.

After completing a seven-year apprenticeship, Denny became a certified machinist and worked at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant for nearly 30 years.

A Christian, Denny was of the Lutheran faith.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting, and camping, often taking hunting excursions throughout the country. A dedicated family man, Denny instilled his love of the outdoors into his children and grandchildren. He also loved traveling with his wife, Anna.

His wife of 61 years, Anna L. (Rombold) Bowser, whom he married October 20, 1962, survives at home.

Denny is also survived by a son, Kevin Bowser (Laurie), Lakeland, FL; a daughter, Leana Hillard (Vince), West Middlesex; a sister, Judy Tomko, West Middlesex; a brother, Richard Bowser (Jan), New Galilee, PA; six grandchildren, Kevin and Erica Bowser, Leah Lopeno (Jeremy), Haley Bowser, Brianna Spencer and Jeffrey Spencer, Jr.; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by a son, Dennis J. Bowser, Jr.; a sister, Marian Laverty; and two brothers, Robert and Howard Bowser.

Denny was well-loved by many and will be missed by all.
