Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (8-9-11) for Delores 'Angie' Scarmack Verroco, Hermitage, who passed away at 4:50 a.m. Saturday (8-6-11) in Hospitality Care, Hermitage, surrounded by the family she loved more than anything. She was 79.
Angie was born September 29, 1931 in Sharon, the daughter of Paul and Rena Gabrielli Scarmack.
She graduated in 1949 from Sharon High School.
Mrs. Verroco retired in 1980, after 30 years in the meat department at Donofrio's in Farrell and Hermitage.
'Jiggs' as she was affectionately known, was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Angie also volunteered at the former Farrell Osteopathic Hospital for 7 years. She was excellent at baking cookies and decorating cakes. Angie enjoyed playing cards and trips to various casinos. She considered herself the largest Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Most importantly she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Angie had a heart of gold to all those that knew her.
Her husband Nicola 'Nick' Verroco, whom she married on November 30, 1950, survives at home.
Angie is survived by, a daughter, Tina and her husband John Carlisle of Hickory Creek, TX; 2 sons, Michael and his wife Diane Verroco of Farrell, PA, and Peter and his wife Vickie Verroco of Hermitage, PA; 2 sisters, Millie Gadola of Sharon and Rose Garzoni of Sharon; 6 grandchildren, Major Phillip Verroco, Nicole Carlisle Beverly, Nathan Verroco, Casey Buchman, Michael Verroco, and Thomas Verroco; 7 great grandchildren and one on the way; She is also survived by a daughter in law Melinda Verroco of Lompoc, CA.
In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by, a son, Paul A. Verroco; a niece, Barbara Marshall.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (8-9-11) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey J. Lucas, pastor as the celebrant.
A brief prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the procession leaving for the church.
