Delores M. Rapp of 1012 W. Bayfront Parkway, Erie, formerly of Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly at 1:50 p.m. Saturday (11-13-10) in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie. She was 72.
Mrs. Rapp was born Dec. 21, 1938, in Sharpsville to Dominic and Olivia Alfredo DeJulia.
A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Sharpsville High School.
She worked for several years as a nurse for what is now Sharon Regional Health System before she was elected as the tax collector for South Pymatuning Township. She retired in 2002.
Delores belonged to St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville, and attended Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
She enjoyed being a volunteer at what was the F.H. Buhl Club and golfing, when she was able.
She was married to her husband, Robert L. Rapp, on May 5, 1958, in St. Joseph's Church, Sharon, by the Rev. Joe Potasnick. Robert passed away Dec. 27, 2002.
She leaves: her two sons, Robert Rapp and his wife Sherri, Girard, Pa.; and Keith Rapp and his wife Molly and Delores' granddaughter, Marie Paige Rapp, all Twinsburg, Ohio; a brother, Louis DeJulia and his wife Delores, Hartford; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers, Thomas and Frank DeJulia and Dominic DeJulia Jr.; and her three sisters, Sandy, Lunda and Mary.
